In close collaboration with world-class designer Jacques Grange, they crafted private spaces full of wonder and enchantment.

Chanel: The Legend of an Icon

Gabrielle Chanel, known for her uncanny ability to anticipate fashion trends, transformed the world of style with her modern take on luxe minimalism. She elevated simple fabrics like jersey and tweed to couture status, creating a sophisticated yet understated silhouette that redefined fashion in the 20th century. Chanel's vision liberated women from restrictive clothing, aligning with broader societal shifts. The fashion house she founded has continued to shape modern fashion, with her successor, Karl Lagerfeld, reinventing the industry by drawing inspiration from Chanel's legacy while adding his own innovative touch. Lagerfeld's approach to reviving a storied brand became the blueprint for the modern fashion house. Assouline's updated volume, Chanel: The Legend of an Icon, captures this rich history with a curated selection of a hundred iconic pieces and insightful text by Alexander Fury, illustrating Chanel's enduring impact through archival and contemporary imagery.

Art House

Art House chronicles an extraordinary life dedicated to living with art, and a friendship devoted to designing homes to honor it. One of the world’s leading art collectors, Chara Schreyer has built a staggering collection of six hundred works, and her forty-year collaboration with interior designer Gary Hutton has produced five spectacular residences to house them. Art House is a breathtaking visual tour of these houses, which range from an architectural tour-de-force to a high-rise “gallery as home.”

Informed by scholarship and a passion for the conceptual, Schreyer’s collection spans all media and includes masterpieces by artists including Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Beuys, Man Ray, Louise Bourgeois, Andy Warhol, Frank Stella and Eva Hesse, as well as work by contemporary artists including Gedi Sibony, Rachel Harrison, Glenn Ligon, Christian Marclay, and many others. Art House features a rare and intimate look at hundreds of these works at home in spaces designed to be both intellectually and materially empathetic with them.

With original photography by nationally renowned photographer Matthew Millman, text by Alisa Carroll, editor in chief of San Francisco’s leading design magazine, SFC&G, and foreword by Neal Benezra, director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), Art House is an inspiration for art and design lovers alike.

The Players' Tribune: I've Got a Story to Tell

Co-Founded by MLB Hall of Famer and legendary Yankees Captain, Derek Jeter, in October of 2014, The Players’ Tribune (TPT) is a sports content brand that created the blueprint for athlete-driven storytelling. The Players’ Tribune was the first brand to conceptualize a direct-to-athlete storytelling platform, empowering the athlete voice through powerful written stories, captivating video and unparalleled visuals. I’ve Got a Story to Tell is the first physical collection of works that The Players’ Tribune has made available to the public, in celebration of the brand’s 10 year anniversary on October 1.

In honor of World Mental Health Day and the launch of I’ve Got A Story to Tell, The Players’ Tribune and Assouline have made a donation to support the Kevin Love Fund. Together, we are committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and supporting mental wellness for all.

The Kevin Love Fund
When professional basketball player Kevin Love publicly shared his personal story about challenges with mental health after a public panic attack during a game, he had no idea the movement it would create. One by one, fans and other high-profile celebrities began to share their own stories of fear and struggle. Quickly, a national conversation had begun. In 2018, Love established the Kevin Love Fund (KLF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to inspire people to live their healthiest lives by creating equity between mental and physical health. As an evidence-based organization, KLF focuses on research, education, and narrative change to break the stigma around mental health.
